there is something so special about creating black and grey realism. maybe it’s because this was my first real introduction to tattooing. the fact that i have an entire sleeve of black and grey or that it feels like i have charcoal in my hand and i’m drawing onto the skin as if it were my drawing paper. i instantly became addicted to tattooing.

the moment the sound of the machine turns on, the needle gets filled with ink, and allows for all the outside noise fade to the back of my mind, there is this level of calmness and pure serenity as we begin creating your masterpiece. gentle layers upon layers of black ink are added to help bring my portraits to life. and when those white highlights come in (everyone’s favorite part! but don’t worry, i’ll be gentle) the rest is history when you take that step back and experience the final look at the masterpiece created.
